With Christmas and Santa activities out of the way, they’re having a “Winter Warmer” event at Apedale - four locomotives in steam, alternating between passenger and freight movements up and down the line from Silverdale station to Apedale Road, along with the odd rake of rattling and rumbling wagons out onto the field railway.In steam today, in no particular order, are Stanhope (Kerr Stuart 2395 of 1917), Ogwen (Avonside 2066 of 1933), Woto (Bagnall 2133 of 1924) and O&K 5662 (of 1912) - complete with its dinky little tender.
