Main line steam in Shropshire
Leander
2 October 2010
The "Severn Valley Limited" was a trip from Bridgnorth to
Blackpool - steam-hauled all the way by ex-LMS Jubilee 5690
"Leander". Sadly, trains can only depart southwards from
Bridgnorth - so that when it hurried up Shifnal bank, in beautiful
autumn sunshine, it had been going for more than 3 hours, but
was still less than 10 miles from its origin... I'm not complaining
- it was a wonderful sight (and sound)!

(yes, the pictures run from right to left - because that's the direction
the train was travelling...)
