© Geoff’s Rail Diaries 2011 A trip to Blackpool on a sunny August afternoonin the later 70s. The purpose - to ride on, and photograph, some of that town's trams - at that time, the only tramway of its kind in Britain We drove to Fleetwood - for relative ease of car parking - and, after taking a snap or two, (and purchasing some very fine fish and chips) rode the length of the tramway to Starr Gate, then returned to Blackpool for a peek in the depot at Rigby Road. I seem to recall a break for liquid refreshments at some stage - I suspect before the last two pictures - the colour of the light seems to suggest the shadows were beginning to lengthen by the time we headed back to Fleetwood Link: Fylde Tramway Society  A comprehensive site on the Blackpool Tramways - fleet lists, histories, timetables, lists of tram stops - the lot!
