We’re taking it easy today -
exploring parts of
Cheshire, focusing on the
lines around Northwich. A
little to the east of the
town, at Hartford, the
WCML and the Chester -
Northwich - Manchester
lines cross, and there are a few freight trains due, as well as
the regular hourly passenger service. Later in the day, there
could be a train on the
Northwich - Middlewich -
Sandbach line. Maybe - but
it didn’t run… With just a
little time to kill at the
end of the day, we’ll see if
there’s anything
interesting on the main
line near Minshull Vernon. There isn’t… Nevertheless, it’s
been an enjoyable outing.
