Last time I saw Leander, he was LMS 5690, in maroon. Today, in black, as BR 45690, the Jubilee would be visiting Shrewsbury, on a railtour originating in Bishop Auckland. A spot of sunshine would have been good, but the skies remained stubbornly grey, the wind gusty. Never mind the weather, it was a fine spectacle on Battlefield bank, just north of the county town.
